Birth of Sabha

Norwood Pradeshiya Sabha was established as a new Pradeshiya Sabha on 20.03.2018 as per Special Gazette No. 2043-57 dated 2017.11.02 under the Pradeshiya Sabha Act No. 15 of 1987. Mrs. A. Priyadarshini took charge as the first secretary of the council on 20.03.2018.

First Council Chairman

Mr.Thangaraj Kishorkumar assumed the duty as the first Honorary Chairman of Norwood Pradeshiya Sabha and he served from 10.04.2018 to 30.05.2018.

New Council Chairman

Next Mr.Ganapathy Kulanthaivel Ravi is assumed duty as Honorary Chairman of Norwood Pradeshiya Sabha on 04.06.2018 itself.

New Secretary

Mr.K.Muralitharan is assumed duty as New Secretary of Norwood Pradeshiya Sabha on 26.06.2019

Shifted to New Place

On 01.07.2019 Norwood Pradeshiya Sabha shifted from Puliyavatha city to new building in Tinsin city.
